What are Temporary Contingent Employees?

IMPORTANT

Employees working for KLD on a project by project basis, whose hours and duration of employment depend on the needs of the clients we are servicing.

Eligibility

Current Employees

To establish whether you are eligible to participate in the plan, your hours will be analyzed under a measurement period. KLDiscovery’s standard 12-month measurement period is from October 3 to October 2. If you averaged at least 30 hours per week during that measurement period, you will be eligible for coverage effective January 1 for a 12-month period. Your hours will be measured whether you are currently enrolled in Medical/Rx or Hospital Indemnity coverage or not, and you will be notified if you meet the criteria of being eligible to begin or continue participating in the Medical/Rx and Hospital Indemnity plans as of January 1st. Your hours will be measured each year hereafter to determine whether you are eligible to participate in the plan during the next calendar year.

New Hires

If you were hired within the last 12 months, you will have an “initial” measurement period used to determine your eligibility. We will analyze your first 12 months of service to determine if you worked an average of 30 hours or more during that period. If you have, we will notify you and will offer you the opportunity to enroll in the Medical/Rx and Hospital Indemnity coverage for a 12-month period. For subsequent periods, the standard measurement period identified above will apply to you.
